Coffee in Spain is experiencing a quiet yet transformative revolution. In a country historically recognized for its coffee culture as a consumer and roaster, a new generation of projects is breaking paradigms: the cultivation and production of single-origin coffee within Spanish territory. Pioneering initiatives such as Castellvilar (Catalonia), Ocaeanica, and Anthea (Canary Islands) are challenging the geographical and climatic boundaries of traditional coffee growing, demonstrating that with research, passion, and a sustainable agricultural vision, Spain can also become a producer of high-quality coffee.

These projects combine regenerative agriculture, technological innovation, and deep respect for the environment, aiming to create coffee with a unique identity, connected to its land and people. Through experimentation with varieties, microclimates, and processing methods, they are redefining what it means to produce coffee in Europe.

In this roundtable, a group of three to five expert speakers—including producers, agronomists, roasters, and visionaries—will share their experiences cultivating coffee in Spain, the challenges they face, and the future vision driving them. The discussion is aimed at the general public, but especially at roasters, buyers, and specialty coffee professionals who are not yet familiar with the potential of this new origin. It will be a space to get inspired, learn, and discover that the future of Spanish coffee is already germinating on our farms.
