This award celebrates the most exciting new additions to the specialty coffee scene — projects that, despite their short trajectory, have already made a remarkable impact through a clear concept, strong identity, local relevance, and outstanding execution.
It recognizes venues that have quickly captured the attention of both the community and the industry by offering a fresh, compelling, and high-quality coffee experience.
- Must have opened within the last 2 years
- Must be an active specialty coffee shop
Excellence in Coffee Education
This award honors the individuals, projects, and institutions that are shaping the future of coffee through education. Whether it’s a formal academy, an independent trainer, or a coffee shop that invests in daily learning, these educators drive true progress by sharing knowledge, building skills, and inspiring curiosity.
We recognize those who are not only technically excellent but also inclusive, passionate, and committed to creating a stronger, better-informed coffee community.
- Can be an academy, trainer, coffee shop, or project with an educational component
- Must have delivered consistent training or educational activities in the past 12 months
Pastry & Bakery Experience
Because coffee doesn’t travel alone. This award celebrates the spaces where artisanal pastry and bakery elevate the coffee experience — not just complementing it, but enhancing its flavors, textures, and overall enjoyment.
It honors projects that bring together craftsmanship, creativity, and sensitivity to offer fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully paired baked goods alongside specialty coffee.
- Must feature in-house or carefully selected artisanal bakery/pastry offerings
- Can be an independent venue or part of a coffee shop that works closely with specialty coffee
Design & Atmosphere Distinction
Design tells a story. This distinction honors coffee shops that create an emotional impact from the very first glance, spaces where aesthetics, comfort, and visual identity blend to shape an unforgettable atmosphere.
Environments that invite people to stay, connect, and experience coffee with all five senses.
- Must be an active and publicly open coffee shop located in Spain
