Karl Wienhold is a doctoral researcher and instructor at the University of Lisbon, where he studies issues related to the political economy of the coffee supply chain. His previous experience in Colombia focused on rural development, international coffee trade, and cooperative farmer organization. In 2021, he published the book Cheap Coffee, which explores the economy and discourse of sustainability in coffee.
