My professional background is in tourism, where I studied and worked for over 20 years. However, I always had a deep passion for coffee, and during my time in Ireland, I worked as a barista for a few years, which further fueled my interest in this incredible world.

Four years ago, my business partner and I took the leap and opened our own specialty coffee shop in Barcelona. With his 15 years of experience as a barista and our shared vision, we built a space dedicated to high-quality coffee and exceptional service. In 2022, my journey took an exciting turn when I started traveling to Colombia for a different job. There, I discovered the world of women-produced coffee—coffee grown, processed, and led by women. This discovery deeply resonated with me, and I realized that beyond owning a coffee shop, I wanted to actively support women in the coffee industry.

During my travels, I had the privilege of meeting Ana Donneys, the Vice President of IWCA Colombia. Inspired by her work, I came up with the idea of opening an IWCA chapter in Spain to further promote and support women in coffee. At the moment, I’m one of the co-founders and vice-president of IWCA Spain. Additionally, my desire to work more closely with coffee producers led me to propose a new venture to my business partner: roasting our own coffee. It has now been over two years since we started roasting, and in that time, we’ve expanded our business by opening a second coffee shop in Barcelona and supplying wholesale coffee to other coffee shops. One of the most meaningful aspects of our business for me is our special coffee line, "Poder Femenino." This collection is exclusively produced by women and roasted solely by me. It represents our commitment to empowering female coffee producers and sharing their incredible work with the world.
